2. What This Website Collects

A. Contact form submissions

When you submit our contact form, we collect only the information you voluntarily provide — typically your name, email address, and a brief message. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry.

Please do not include sensitive mental health information, diagnosis or treatment history, medications, insurance details, or any other Protected Health Information in the contact form. This form is for general inquiries only and is not a HIPAA-secure communication channel.

B. Basic analytics data

Our website may automatically collect general technical information through analytics tools, including your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and approximate geographic location at the city or region level. This data is collected in aggregate and is used only to understand how visitors use our Site. We do not use analytics data to identify individual visitors.

What this website does not collect

  • Protected Health Information (PHI) of any kind
  • Clinical intake information
  • Insurance or billing information
  • Mental health history or treatment records
  • Payment or credit card information
  • Any information through the Sessions Health scheduling platform — that platform operates independently under its own privacy policy

3. How We Use Your Information

We use information collected through this Site solely to:

  • Respond to your general inquiry submitted through the contact form
  • Understand how visitors use our Site in order to improve it
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to any third party, use it for advertising or marketing targeting, or connect your website inquiry to any clinical record or EHR system.

4. Cookies and Analytics

Our Site uses cookies and may use analytics tools such as Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our Site. We use only strictly necessary cookies and analytics cookies that collect aggregated, non-personally identifying information.

We do not use advertising cookies, remarketing pixels, behavioral tracking cookies, or social media tracking pixels on this Site. You can disable cookies at any time through your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics at: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

5. Third-Party Scheduling Platform

This Site contains a link to Sessions Health, a third-party scheduling platform where prospective clients can request a free 15-minute consultation. Sessions Health operates independently and has its own privacy policy and terms of service.

Any information you submit through Sessions Health is governed by Sessions Health's privacy practices, not this Privacy Policy. Centerline Therapy maintains a Business Associate Agreement with Sessions Health for the handling of PHI in the context of clinical services.

6. Email Communication

If you contact us via email at jacob@centerline-therapy.com, your email and its contents will be received and stored within our Google Workspace account. Centerline Therapy maintains a Business Associate Agreement with Google for Google Workspace.

Please do not include sensitive mental health information, PHI, or other confidential clinical details in unsolicited email inquiries.

7. How We Protect Your Information

We implement reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information submitted through this Site, including SSL/TLS encryption, secure hosting infrastructure, limited internal access to contact form submissions, and Business Associate Agreements with Google Workspace for email.

Despite these measures, no method of internet transmission is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of information transmitted through this Site, which is why we ask that you not submit sensitive personal or clinical information through general website channels.

8. Data Retention

Contact form submissions and related correspondence are retained only as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry and for a reasonable period thereafter in case of follow-up. When information is no longer needed, it is securely deleted. Analytics data is retained in accordance with the default practices of Google Analytics and is used only in aggregate form.

9. Children's Privacy

This website is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors through this Site. If you believe a minor has submitted information through this Site, please contact us at jacob@centerline-therapy.com and we will promptly delete it.

10. Links to Third-Party Websites

This Site may contain links to third-party websites for your convenience and reference. Centerline Therapy is not responsible for the content, security, or privacy practices of any third-party website. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any external sites you visit.

11. Do Not Track

Some web browsers transmit "Do Not Track" signals. Our Site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals. We do not engage in behavioral tracking of visitors across third-party websites.

12. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of the personal information we hold about you from your website inquiry. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at jacob@centerline-therapy.com. We will respond within 30 days and may need to verify your identity before processing your request.
